This years Sarasota Memorial Day Parade was one of special significance to everyone involved, due to the war in Iraq. Many involved have friends or loved ones serving their country. Most of the participants were retired veterans or Jr. ROTC units from the many High Schools in Sarasota County: Booker, Sarasota, Riverview, and Sarasota Military Academy. The politicians were present, as well as local safety services and boys and girls clubs. Buy-standers lines the parade route and showed support for our troops. I hope you enjoy the photo gallery.
